Spa with jets running beside a fiberglass pool

FAQ

Good questions make a better pool plan.

Start with the questions on your mind: what fits your yard, what shapes the cost and what happens after the build. You can explore the answers here or talk them through with us.

Are the pool design and quote free?

Yes. OMS offers a free pool design and quote, including a rendering of the pool in your backyard. Adam helps you choose the right pool and work through the layout, so you can see the plan before deciding to build.

What will my written pool quote explain?

Your quote identifies the included work, allowances for selections or work still to be confirmed, and exclusions or work to arrange separately. It also explains how changes are approved. If the scope changes, OMS explains any cost and schedule impact and gets your written approval before carrying out the changed work.

Discuss your design and quote

How will I know what is happening during construction?

During your OMS pool build, you receive a weekly update covering completed work, what comes next and any decisions we need from you. Adam designs the pool and leads construction, while Leah handles the office and permitting. We also use updates to explain changes to the plan or timing.

What to expect with OMS

What support do I get after my new pool is finished?

We walk you through your equipment, provide a care guide for your pool and check in during your first month of ownership to answer questions. Ongoing cleaning, maintenance and repairs are arranged separately. Our CPO-certified team services pools and hot tubs, with an email and text update after every service.

Does OMS build both fiberglass and concrete pools?

Yes. We design and build both fiberglass and concrete pools across North Georgia. We are also an authorized Barrier Reef dealer and installer for fiberglass pools. Your first conversation can focus on which type fits your property and plans.

Discuss your pool options

How do I choose between fiberglass and concrete?

Start with your yard, budget and how you want to use the pool. Fiberglass offers established shell designs; concrete gives you more flexibility in shape and dimensions. Adam helps you compare the layout, access and ongoing care for your property before you choose.

Do I need a pool model, measurements or a budget before contacting OMS?

No. Start with your town and how you’d like to use the backyard. Share a budget range if you have one, but you don’t need a model or finished plan to begin. We’ll help you compare fiberglass and concrete, work through the layout and put together your free design, backyard rendering and quote.

Start planning with OMS

Why choose a fiberglass pool?

A fiberglass pool arrives as a formed, finished shell, removing the on-site shell construction and curing stages needed for concrete. Its smooth gelcoat makes surface cleaning easier. You choose from established shapes and sizes, and the pool still needs regular cleaning, balanced water and equipment care.

How much does a fiberglass pool cost in Georgia?

The useful number is the cost of your installed pool, including the work your yard needs. Size and model, delivery access, excavation, slope, equipment, coping and deck area all affect it. OMS prepares an estimate around those details. Compare written quotes for the same scope, with options and work by other contractors clearly identified.

Plan your pool budget

How long does fiberglass pool installation take?

The fiberglass shell arrives formed and finished, which removes the on-site shell construction and curing stages of a concrete pool. Your full project still includes planning, approvals, delivery, site work, plumbing, decking and startup. OMS can talk through the sequence and timing for your yard; weather, site conditions and model availability all play a part.

Will a fiberglass pool fit a small or sloped backyard?

A compact or sloped yard is worth exploring. The pool needs to fit alongside delivery access, deck space, drainage, utilities and property requirements. Slopes may call for grading or retaining work. Start with your address and a few yard photos; OMS can help you understand which layouts are worth considering.

What is the difference between a plunge pool and a small swimming pool?

A plunge pool generally emphasizes relaxing and cooling off in a compact space. A longer swimming pool leaves more room for moving through the water. Compare the actual model dimensions and the area taken up by steps, seating and ledges to decide which layout fits how you want to use it.

Can I choose a fiberglass pool with a tanning ledge or spa?

Barrier Reef's catalog includes designs with lounging ledges and integrated spas, including the Castaway. Check the model drawing, available swim area and equipment requirements with OMS. Availability and the final installation scope are confirmed for your project.

Is fiberglass a good choice if my dog swims with us?

Fiberglass is a good option for households with swimming dogs. Its smooth finish is gentle on paws, and there is no vinyl liner for claws to puncture or tear. Rough concrete finishes can scrape paws. Tell Adam how your dog uses the water so you can consider entry steps and the pool layout together.
